2015 marks the fortieth anniversary of the first Victoria Bach Festival!
We’re celebrating with a Great Big Choruses concert featuring the VBF Orchestra & Chorus and Conspirare Symphonic Choir conducted by Craig Hella Johnson, Bach’s Magnificat and Brandenburg concerto No. 5, the world premiere of commissioned music by Donald Grantham, the muscular sound of orchestral indie band Mother Falcon, a special treatment of Bach and contemporary composers by pianist Michelle Schumann and vibraphonist Graeme Francis, and a journey through Bach’s Goldberg variations on piano and harpsichord with Sophia Gilmson.
