Victoria, TX – The Victoria Bach Festival (VBF), one of South Texas’s most cherished cultural institutions, invites the community to step back in time for an evening of fantasy, fellowship, and feasting at its Annual Spring Gala. The Bachtastical Renaissance Faire: A Night of Revelry and Merriment will take place Friday, March 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Spring Creek Events Center in Victoria.

The Spring Gala is the Victoria Bach Festival’s signature fundraising event, supporting its upcoming 51st anniversary season, which will be celebrated with a weeklong festival of performances May 30 – June 6, 2026, throughout Victoria and surrounding communities.

Guests at the Gala will enjoy a fully immersive Renaissance-inspired evening featuring a bountiful feast, open bar, live and silent auctions, festive entertainment, and music inspired by the 2026 season theme, “Fantastical Music.”

“This Gala is one of the most joyful and imaginative ways we bring our community together in support of the Festival,” said Wm. Buck Moore, Executive Director of the Victoria Bach Festival. “As we celebrate more than five decades of music-making, the Spring Gala reminds us that the Festival is about far more than concerts—it’s about community, creativity, and shared experiences that endure.”

Attendees are encouraged to don Renaissance-inspired attire as the event hall transforms into a lively court of kings and queens, knights and nobles, artisans and musicians—and perhaps even the occasional fairy.

Proceeds from the evening directly support the artistic and educational programs of the Victoria Bach Festival, including performances led by Artistic Director Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez during the June 2026 Festival.

David Faskas, Board Member and Event Chair of the Spring Gala, emphasized the importance of the event’s fundraising impact. “The Spring Gala is critical to sustaining the Festival’s artistic excellence and outreach,” Faskas said. “From our auctions to sponsorships, every contribution helps ensure that world-class music continues to thrive right here in Victoria. This year’s Renaissance theme adds a sense of wonder and fun that truly reflects the spirit of our 51st season.”

Ron Walker, Board Member and Event Co-Chair, highlighted the accessibility and community focus of the event. “Whether you attend as an individual guest or gather friends and colleagues around a sponsored table, the Spring Gala offers a meaningful way to support the arts while enjoying a truly unforgettable evening,” Walker said. “It’s a celebration that reflects the creativity, generosity, and spirit of Victoria.”

Individual tickets are available for $150, and sponsorship opportunities range from $400 for The Minstrel’s Pair table for two to $5,000 for The Monarch’s Court table for ten. Sponsorships include recognition benefits and directly support Festival performances, education initiatives, and community outreach programs.

Founded in 1976, the Victoria Bach Festival has grown into one of South Texas’s most respected arts organizations. Over the past 50 years, it has brought internationally acclaimed musicians to local stages, expanded arts education opportunities for students, and showcased the Victoria community to national audiences through broadcasts on National Public Radio.

One of South Texas’s most treasured cultural events is now marking a major milestone. The Victoria Bach Festival’s 51st anniversary season will feature extraordinary orchestral, choral, and chamber performances celebrating the music of J.S. Bach and composers across the centuries—works that evoke dreams, myths, storytelling, and the supernatural.

“This Festival has become a point of pride for our city,” said Simon McCloud, President of the Victoria Bach Festival Board of Directors. “For more than half a century, VBF has elevated Victoria as a cultural destination, welcoming visitors from across the region and beyond. The Spring Gala is an invitation for our community to invest in that legacy and help shape the Festival’s future.”

Tickets and sponsorship information for the Spring Gala are available at www.victoriabachfestival.org or by contacting the Festival office at 361-570-5788.

As Moore reflected, “This year is a celebration not only of five decades of great music, but of the vibrant community that has made the Victoria Bach Festival possible. We look forward to celebrating together—at the Gala and throughout our 51st season.”
