Victoria Bach Festival Launches Search for Next Executive Director
Victoria Bach Festival (VBF) has announced the launch of a search for its next Executive Director, seeking an experienced and visionary leader to guide one of Texas’ premier classical music organizations into its next chapter of artistic excellence, community engagement, and organizational growth.
The announcement follows the departure of Executive Director William “Buck” Moore, who concluded his tenure with the Festival on June 30 to pursue a new professional opportunity in Houston.
Moore leaves the Festival following a period of significant growth and achievement. Since joining VBF in 2022, he strengthened the organization’s financial foundation, expanded fundraising and community partnerships, and helped guide the Festival through its milestone 50th Anniversary Season in 2025, which culminated in the dedication of a permanent monument on the Texas A&M-Victoria campus honoring five decades of musical excellence. The Board of Directors extends its sincere gratitude to Moore for his leadership, dedication, and service and wishes him continued success in his new role.
During this transition, the Victoria Bach Festival is in deeply familiar hands. Nina Di Leo has returned as Interim Executive Director, bringing with her sixteen years of experience leading the organization. Under her previous tenure, Di Leo helped grow VBF into a vibrant and beloved part of the Crossroads cultural landscape. Her institutional knowledge, longstanding community relationships, and unwavering commitment to the Festival’s mission will help ensure a seamless transition while the search process is underway.
The Executive Director serves as the Festival’s chief administrative officer and works in partnership with Artistic Director Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez to advance VBF’s mission of bringing world-class music and arts experiences to Victoria and the Crossroads region. The position oversees fundraising, financial management, strategic planning, marketing, community engagement, and organizational operations while supporting the Festival’s artistic vision and long-term sustainability.
The search comes on the heels of the Festival’s acclaimed 51st season, which featured eight days of extraordinary performances, sold-out concerts, free community events, and enthusiastic audiences from across the region. Applications are currently being accepted, and a search committee appointed by the Board of Directors are leading the process.
