An intimate solo performance by legendary contemporary jazz pianist Marilyn Crispell, known for her exciting, soulful improvisations and compositions. Crispell has made over 50 recordings as a soloist and with adventurous jazz performers including Anthony Braxton, Reggie Workman, Steve Lacy, Gerry Hemingway, Joseph Jarman, Paul Motian, Fred Anderson, Tim Berne, Peter Brötzmann, Gary Peacock, and Hamid Drake.
Crispell is the recipient of three New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship grants, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and a Mary Flagler Cary Charitable Trust composition commission.
